As there are only 400 Islanders this practice is necessary to keep services available for locals and tourists! Islanders are very cooperative in dropping you back at your accomodation after dinner out. One night we waited for the Bowlo chef to clean up the kitchen before he could drop us and other tourists back in the minibus! His regular driver was off sick. here are some thumbnail sketches of some of the great...

Lord Howe Island Paradise

You know you will find a beautiful pristine beach, the water and coral lagoon beckon as you fly in! Ned’s Beach , where the water is extremely clear, and the natural vegetation runs down to the sands became my favourite part of Lord Howe Island! The Sooty Terns nesting on the shallow dune are unperturbed, the first indication of the slice of paradise as I walk down to the beach. The colourful fish swimming around people in the water. But there were many other wonderful places and people.❤️...

Royal National Park coastline

This is some of the most beautiful coastline along the East Coast of New South Wales, Australia. My favourite by far is Cockatoo Island /Waremah with its convict built housing, and the Fitzroy dry dock. Cockatoo Island / Waremah intersects the homelands of the Wallummedegal, Wangal, Cammeraygal, and Gadigal peoples. It was also added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2010. The island was a penal settlement from...

Bush Tracks

A favourite leisure activity is setting off along a bush track with a bottle of water, snacks, sneakers and a hat. Some of the loveliest vistas open up as the ridge is crested or the path winds around.
